Tracks up with our new singer Stacy
Well folks we have them recorded but I am still mixing them. it takes quite a while to mix a 4 min song. I have three up but still need to do Jessie and "I Know". Please give us as much feedback as you can and please down load them and email them to friends.....thanks\\mike
Hiccup
Well it looks like Stackhouse will be back out playing soon. Stacy is working out very well and after she gets comfortable with the set we'll be out there again. We continue to get airplay on KXCI...thanks to the legendary Al Perry. We need to redo vocals so as to have Stacy on the tracks. The new combination of Josh on bass and me (Mike) on rhythm guitar is working out well...more focussed. Eventually we will get a bass player and Josh will switch back over. We will try to do a Stadium Grill on a Monday again. It'll be an early show so everyone can stop by and have some dinner first. See everyone there.----mike
BTW
I am too old and stupid to quit and I'm too awkward to join the ballet. Come hell or high water we will prevail. Shows...CD's...Tours. That's a fact Jack.
We have pared down.
Josh switched over to bass. Now we are a three piece plus vocal. Stacy plays keys, violin and guitar but I think its best just to have her focus on vocals until she is very comfortable.
"Daddy are we there yet"
We have a new singer Stacy Scheckel. I'll have her pictures and vocals up as soon as I can. Shaina signed with a Hip/Hop..R&B management company. She is happy and we are happy for her. We love her and will miss her.
KXCI airplay
On June 8, 2010 at 7:45pm on the great Al Perry's show on KXCI...Stackhouse was first aired. Josh heard it, Shaina kinda heard it. Al was out of broadcast range. I kinda heard it too. I was at a carwash on the Northwest side of town and had to situate my car to pick it up, static and all but I got to hear it....Yay!
Booking Shows
This is Mike...I am starting to book shows. Primary targets are The Hut, Plush, Sky Bar, Sky Box, Gouches, and The Stadium Grill. I'll start with of nights just to build our resume. KXCI has our Cd with Yellowstone and Greatest Fear on it. Its a burned CD so I'm not expecting much other that maybe the local show. I have been out listening to other local and regional bands. If you have a party planned We would love to play it. Let us know.
cool
Next Friday is Shaina's important showcase for Capitol/EMI...This is big stuff. It is about time someone noticed such a talent. Good Luck!
This last rehearsal was special, we are all good musicians, but last Tuesday we really meshed...I could feel the difference. What a long strange trip its been
There comes a point when the music you do goes from something that you do to something you are. It becomes your life, not just something in your life. Hopefully, we are looking at that as reality. Songs are written, and being recorded. We are playing out and will not stop. We are ready to do what we do best...make music.
Yes I have chutzpa
I went by 92.9 The Mountain and was going to give my friend who works there 20 copies of three of our song...yellowstone. Greatest fear, and Jessie. But she was still out of town.. so I simply placed them on cars of the staff in the parking lot. BTW i also submitted it to their website for airplay....but I have no idea how to request a song to be played.
